| Drove about 2 hours to see the 2017 eclipse, and almost completely missed it because of clouds. Luckily, they cleared completely about 10 minutes before totality.
Back in grade school, one of our science books had a map of all eclipse in North America, and I noticed how close the 2017 path was to us, so I was planning on that one for probably 15 or more years! One year out, hotels and campsites in the path were getting booked out.
This time, I'll probably leave home well before sunrise and get home late just to get it all done in one day. Field work could be a problem, but I guess it will have to wait a day. | |
