I’ve got an 8ft farm king. Not exactly heavy duty but the price was right at $1500 in July a few years ago. Has worked well but have not got to use it hard yet but that will change looks like. It’s 540, my 7920 ivt only has 1000 so I adapted. Plenty of power to run low rpm tractor doesn’t have to be revd up at least

I have similar unit. New mid summer decades ago. Hooked 540. I tried it at 1000 on my Deutz. No real advantage in snow throw, amount.
It’s not greatest in frozen, packed snow that has gotten warm, cold. You need to break it a bit. Realize if too solid. It’s the wrong machine. Solid ice nope. First year I hooked it up Nov. except hyd. Have new short hoses that need to go on. If needed I might just adjust by hand as too cold for wrench work.
Blowers are nice for volume of snow. Plus the snow *disappears* if you have room. No piles, wet areas, frozen ground into spring.
Now that bi-directional tractor. That would be fun to try. One little known issue with blowers. Do not lift up under heavy load. You can damage pto components. Watch as friend lifts. The pto shaft expands, contracts. *as it’s meant to* but under heavy load it might catch. Either bend the pto shaft, damage bearings or worse $$$ damage to tractor pto. Just pause before lifting, lowering under heavy load. *any load*
