Southern Missouri | If you have time with the weather going on, go to youtube and search Missouri Bootheel drainage project , several come up , a good one is titled :Draining the swamp :the little river drainage project , there are several , all very interesting, many families moved here from surrounding states in the early 1900s and finished clearing and began farming here, my parents from both sides moved here from white county Illinois around 1910.I think my favorite one there is , Swampeast to Southeast :Draining the southeast Missouri Frontier
