The second screen is hard to describe. But I really like it a lot. First of all, on the left side of the screen at the top you see the word “chill”. That means it’s in chill mode which gives you a less aggressive acceleration profile, like a normal ICE car or minivan. Take it off chill mode and it requires more finesse with the pedal to make tires last and make efficiency decent.

Right below the word “chill” you have a horizontal bar with a thicker small black section in the middle of it. That bar is visible anytime you’re driving. In that picture it shows about 5 to 10% of power is being used by the bold black part of the horizontal line. If you are using 100% of the available power the bold part would stretch all the way to the right side of the horizontal line.

If you are using regenerative braking the bold part would extend left of center instead of right of center like it is now. It would also turn green instead of black. So basically that line gives you a glance of how much energy you are using or collecting. If there is no bold part on that line at all it means you are truly coasting in that instant.

Now on to the energy analysis shown in the right side of the display. That page is incredibly difficult to explain in written form but you can see the average or instantaneous energy efficiency and expected range on this screen. For averages you can see the average of the last 5 miles, the last 15 or the last 30. If the line on the graph goes below 0 it turns green and then you’re into regenerative braking territory. Across the bottom you can see how many miles ago each point along the line represents. It is a very enjoyable scene to watch for a nerd like me.
