West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12
I had a 1979 Olds Cutlass Diesel...quite possibly the worst ICE ever engineered.

Driving at night during the winter created the most challenges. Very few stations open past 10:00 PM or 24 hours. Most small town private or co-op run stations did not even have diesel fuel pumps Many stations did have kerosene or #1 furnace fuel...which I filled up with and threw a pint or two of two cycle oil in the tank. If the place only had #2 furnace fuel or diesel, I blended with a little unleaded gas...good memories.
