I was told that the IVT's manufactured prior to 2015 had potential issues. Some improvements made after 2015 supposedly made the IVT much more durable. Have seen two of the older pre-2015 7R series tractors with busted IVT's but later model 8R's have been solid. We like our 8370R with IVT and we do some heavy tillage with it.
