You said nothing about feed? I have had many Old cows and they do very well with silage. I am in the process of bringing down the voting age of my herd. Corn silage is your friend. Oats hay is your friend. Old cows with bad teeth need good feed to keep or improve their condition. Let them get thin and you are asking for trouble.
