Nice craftsmanship and design. I like the way you turn the lid for draft control. How thick does the base have to be for it to sink?


Thank you. Still playing around with what I can get away with without choking er down too much at night. I need to load it up with ash this weekend when the real
Cold sets in.
The whole thing is basically 10 gauge sheeting. I left a 2” lip around the base to set a couple concrete blocks on to hold her down. Loaded with wood it’ll stay put but otherwise wants to ride but not as bad as I thought. Demo concrete chunks a lot cheaper than 1/2” plate steel these days :)
