nc ks | Late model combines auction value has softened greatly. It was hard not to bid on a few machines there at the end of the year. Seemed like a lot of jd's being wrote off the books before or in case things go really south in the near future. I would say don't get in a big hurry on a combine and definitely don't pay asking price. Auction is definitely the way to go on a combine if you can work on it yourself and can take a little risk.
As far as other farm machinery, seems like a pretty solid market. We were able to buy some loader type construction equipment at what seemed reasonable. Seemed like dozers and excavators weren't bringing quite as much as a few months ago. Nice farm tractors still seem fairly solid.
