| I inherited my mom’s old washer/dryer. They are 40&50 years old. *I seldom use dryer* I put $10 in washer decade back. But it failed 6 years back. I found an old gent who fixes them. Dropped it off one night.
Next day he calls. X pump seized, hoses cracked, bearings shot… $200 to fix. I said “do it”. He tells me to slow down. He already did it. If I did not want the machine back he will give me $50 and resell it.
I said I will be there in 3 hours if that works.
It works like new. My wife had similar machine. I tried to use when mine failed. It leaked.
I need to get wife’s washer to him before he croaks. Just to have a good spare.
A CO house I think I would buy off CL as dryer old 3 plug. Plus older washers are better. | |
