There certainly seems to be a pattern with operations like this. I used to not care but have formed the opinion operations like these are not good for our communities. One operator getting rich paying crap wages and treating employees like crap vs 10 or more farmers that have an ownership stake in a farm and vested in the community-which do you prefer? It's time to push more policy to stop enabling this crap. Stiffer penalties for hiring illegal workers and better yet eliminate h-2a labor or tax it heavily so its not a cheap way to hire labor and undermine our community. Small changes to policy can make our communties a little more balanced and make it fairer for operations that continue to get crowded out by operations like this.
