Had a jerseyx I milked with an old school delaval bucket milker for a few years.
If you had a shop with a big sink, cleanup wouldn't be to bad, main thing is the bucket milkers are to big and awkward to fit in a regular sink.
One tip to cool the milk faster and make it keep better, I would freeze a 1/2 gallon plastic bottle of some sort (I used an apple juice bottle cleaned inside and out filled with water)
Then put that inside the bucket milker. same theory as a plate cooler.

eta also, its ok to only milk once a day I know a couple different guys that did it for years :)
