E SD | One thing about moving up is there is already talk of the top 20-30 teams creating their own division where schools can commit 3-5mil per year to just players. The NCAA is trying to keep the lid from flying off by having talks of schools being affiliated with NIL, but finding that Alabama, Ohio St, Mich, etc really don’t need the NCAA in football and can break off and create their own league.
That will sort off the Delaware, James Madison, App state and future schools that are thinking about transitioning, they can’t commit to that level of player compensation, and consequently will still have 2 divisions of football.
