Use agri-plastics here, calves are tethered to have access inside and outside. If the climate there has any amount of snow you'll despise the outside pens. Bed ours straw and a bale shredder in the winter months, with sand in the warmer months. works well. Drive by with a payloader to push snow away with one pass and able to drive close enough to shoot bedding in with a very small amount of hand pitching. The divider is not high enough between buckets i agree but haven't seen another system that is any better either
