I can't comment on the Calf-Tel Elite, but I would like a taller separation between the water and feed bucket holders in our Agri-Plastics huts so the calf would have to back up to move from one to the other.

I've thought about adding a holder on the side door for feed, but along with being a nuisance for chores, it might affect feed consumption. We dump the water every night and every other day the starter gets replaced with the clean-out going to older calves.

We do not like pens here. We run past the fronts of the huts with a 4-wheeler and trailer to bed every morning and have the calves on tethers tied so that the calf cannot get out of the hut. When calves can get out of the hut they track more moisture inside, mess with the bedding process, and they can be dopey about finding the business end of the bottle.

Fences also freeze down.

We use the bottle holders on the open end of the huts, opposite the feed and water holders.

A couple of pics of when things go wrong.
