Thumb of Michigan | HERE - I plan on needed to feed from October 1 until May 1 (beginning of calving season), so ~28 weeks on RB feed. 5x5 bales, some are dry hay (not many), mostly 'sweet' hay (hay between 25-40% moisture). Most years I have 20-30% RB carryover, always want 120 bales on hand on Oct 1, this is for 20-21 cows. All pasture from May 1 to October 1, so early spring and/or late fall creates more carryover. No other feed stuffs fed. | |
