Subject: Cover crop seeder build

For a couple of years I have been building,trying, tearing apart, rebuilding and trying again. This implement is about where I want it to be. I hope to make it more automated next year, but for the most part the implement will be the same minus the rear rolling baskets.
This thing started its life as a hipper tumbler in Hidalgo Illinois. I took off the shovels and attemted to add carrier wheels to help assist with the weight of the implement. That failed, so then last year I was able to make it pull type and made a bridge hitch to pull the seeder. Finally this year I was able to get the seeder married to the implement and added no till coulters from a old no till cart. I plumbed it to run off pto hydraulics and made the seed drive hydraulic. The only way I had to monitor seed flow was a cheap rpm gauge off amazon. Once I got the coulters set properly it helped a lot. Next year the goal is to get a pwm valve and run it automatically from the cab instead of a manual flow control valve. Anyway just posting some pictures of a Hillbilly build. I tried to get pics in age order but screwed it up. This years welding was done all outdoors due to a shop remodel job. Welded with a old Lincoln sa200 pipeliner that I bought off a retired fitter years ago. I hadn't ran it in a couple of years and once I got it started it purred like a kitten. Was really enjoyable even thought the beads don't look near as pretty as the mig. Also had to add 2.5' on to seed auger to reach hopper of seeder.
