My money is on the valve.

Either something is wired wrong, there is a bad wire, poor ground, pinched wire, bad switch, voltage drop, etc.

What do the coils do, do you know when and how they are supposed to energize?

Have you run direct battery power to the coils when they need to be activated instead of the harness wires?

When you replaced o-rings did a small piece of dirt or o-ring material get inside any part of the valve assembly? I had an excavator that would not hold a motor in park once because of a loose cylinder o-ring part blocking an orifice. Saved my boss $4,000 when I found that.

You're positive no hoses or tubes got crossed? I would guess they would be ok, but I've gotta ask.

A WAG is one or both coils is supposed to energize at fold/unfold and maybe it's experiencing voltage drop and not being able to completely hold the unit up as it unfolds. My guess is one or both are supposed to be energized at the fold/unfold cycle, and unpowered at rest for normal up/down operation.

I'd not only check for power at the coils, but voltage as the functions are being utilized as well as even maybe holding a screwdriver to a coil and seeing if the magnetism wanes as the different functions are activated.

This is based on what I have learned over the years with planter, I have NOT worked on this type of bar, but the principals are the same.
