I don't like the 12 to 13 gear shift in the Deere or cat tranny, 12th works good in either to run 7 or so. Idk if theres a correlation but the guys who've had tranny issues seem to let them shift up and down with whatever the auto feature is called. We pick a gear and go. No shifting up or down on hills or tough spots.
