I think tin last winter was about 1.20 a sq ft, foam was about 2$ a sq ft per inch, than you have trim , ( went 2in of closed cell) screws, if you are putting tin on walls , you will need 2x4 for girts. If rafters are 8’ on center you will also need some kind of system to support the ceiling tin. Insulating sliding doors will be a challenge as too much weight and sliders don’t work very well. Spray foam probably the best. I don’t know what code is in your area but here all wire in a shop has to be in conduit or shielded cable. Spraying foam on walls is tricky as some don’t like spray directly on the tin. Than you are going to want good lights. . I had ceiling in mine partially done when building was built 7 yrs earlier, so added 20’ to ceiling, hired tin done, but helped, had a small corner office with overhead mezzanine as said in first post and I got a carpenter between jobs and my cost was 7000 for labor for a 4800 sq ft shop. . A third or more of labor was building the office and overhead storage and lining office, bathroom area. We also had carpenters build part of dividing wall in the shed. It cost about double what I originally thought but I was going to do it my self and I had wiring all done by electrician and hired a plumber but didn’t get crazy on anything. I also put pallet racking of about 60’ as we are short of parts storage. I hung my own tube heaters and went with two of them as I think slightly more efficient and we blew in our own insulation which was more a fact that I couldn’t get anybody to blow it timely more than cost. Quite frankly as I Was busy doing other things the carpenters were a good buy as it would have taken me twice as long and just better finish. If you are going to spend all that I would look at replacing one of your sliders with some kind of power door eventually as over time your roller and track will fail with extra weight of insulation if opening a lot and will roll hard and very hard to seal up. I have another shed that I insulated sliding doors with foam and I would hate to use them daily. At end of day it costs more than you think and if you cut too many corners you end up kind of redoing it eventually. Believe me I am quite conservative and I always think I can do it a lot cheaper but in the end it costs so much. I was going to do pretty much everything my self but would have spent a lot more time and we needed shop to be functional by Feb 1 to start working on equipment and I was making money doing other things.
