SW OH
This is a Ford, Dodge, Chevy question, but here's my 2 cents.

If someone gave me a Stihl I'd sell it. I've had 2, 1 new, 1 used. Neither 1 made it longer than 4 tanks of gas. Work buys a few of them but mostly Stihl quickie saws. Some have have over $10,000 in them, mind you our repairs are ridiculous.

Dad was a Homelite fan and we wore a few of those out. My oldest brother told me 30 years ago the 2 Johnsereds he had would outlast him, it didn't happen. I bought a Makita 24 years ago that will start in no more than 3 pulls and it's had gas in it for 24 years. At work we have a few Husqvarna saws that have been well liked.
