Subject: RE: Any old ford collectors

Statesville, NC
That's a very nice 6000. I bet it's nice to run too. I've never ran one, other that an old salvage tractor I bought to get the engine out of. A friend of mine put the diesel engine in a Ford pickup. It's almost a bolt-in deal if you have an early 60's Ford with a 223 six cylinder gas. From what I've heard, they had a small hydraulic pump, about 4 gpm, and a very large accumulator. I've heard you could raise and lower the three point a couple times after the engine was shut off. A great concept, unless you need continuous flow.
