I have seen that machine at a few shows. Those sides do not look removable. We made the sides as wide as the 835 frame gator cabs.
We were not able to carry enough since the standard bed is narrow. This also stops the rear tires slinging mud up onto the back of the cab.
I look at it as no different than installing a flatbed body onto a truck. Some need it, some dont.
