I would keep the 735 with the spiral cutters. The knives only needed on knot to forever make a groove in wood from then on. I went to put in the new blades and noticed that one of the new blades had a small nick. At that point I purchased the spiral cutter. It cuts quieter, cleaner and faster. However as I mentioned, starting over now I'd buy a spiral headed 20" planer or if I was short on cash and still wanted a bench top planer I'd go with the Oliver. I keep thinking that I'm going to just do smaller pieces but somehow end up doing 8 foot long things. |
