Thinking about trying a chistle plow, something that will cover the corn stalks and leave level enough to apply chemical on and field cultivate one pass and plant, 11 or 13 shank maybe, have 450 hp thanks

Chopped corn? Chopping corn head? Stalk chopper after harvest? Chopped, rake/bale after harvest?

I can’t chisel plow cornstalks in my area that are combined, stalk chopped. And expect to do a decent job. If it’s chopped, raked, baled then it does ok. But in my corn *chopping head, or stalk chopper* a disc chisel is needed to Cover some, but leave a lot exposed for erosion control.
In spring I might get by with one pass springtooth plant, spread fertilizer, drag. *or fertilizer before springtooth*
But many years I need to disc in spring. So I bought a KENT disc-o-vator in hopes it does better.
Now I have seen some large vertical tillage in area that looks to do a decent job. (But leaving trash on top)

I can’t afford VT that I would like right now. I hope the disc-o-vator saves me a pass in spring.
I saw something like this in my area https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkFqFvCtPnQ. It did a dang nice job. On the part of field I could see from road.
But a strait chisel plow? Not in my area. I use it on small grain, soybean ground in fall.
Another guy has a DMI with two ranks front discs, almost subsoil type chisels, and two rear disc ranks, harrow. It leaves almost black soil behind it. Looks fairly smooth.
