I use a warehouse tug as a forklift. It is not as helpless as a person would think. Your unit will not be as good as a diesel Kubota utv, but maybe $25000 less.

No idea on engine conversion. My unit has a 6 cylinder pickup engine. Not what you want.

If you had new batteries and battery minder, trickle charger (s), how long would they last? Sure is nice to get in unit and go. I have battled starting problems with my propane engine. I guess I am finally experienced?

How about a 13 hp engine driving a 36 volt motor as a generator? Drive existing motor with the power from that. With batteries, you would have a hybrid.
