That's the arrogance and inexperience of youth. He may have been safer climbing than he was on the roof. I'd also believe their safety systems are as well thought out, and often better practiced than roofers typically use. But I'll still bet that X hours roofing is much safer than X hours climbing. The young brain, especially the young male brain is terrible at estimating risk, I think most of us have experienced that in the moment and in hindsight. |
