My daughter and husband climb the tallest steepest most challenging they can find.This was last week in Yosemite.My SIL was on a roof here helping with a repair, a year or so ago,"this is way less safe than climbing walls" he said.They are very calculating on safety systems,,the rope is there only for when they make a mistake,,,which you "never do" .The thrill of the risk I believe is why they enjoy the sport. Good for them. Personally, I try to avoid activities that one mistake results in certain death. |
