Northern Indiana | That tank set up is called a cascade system. Common in the fire service and scuba shops.
Both fire service and scuba use the same compressors and tanks. Scuba (self contained UNDERWATER breathing apparatus) is typically 3000 psi and the fire services (self contained breathing apparatus ) can be 6000psi, but typically 4500psi or less.
Before I retired as a firemen, we would fill our scuba tanks and our scba (fire service) tanks with the same setup. We even had a regulator set up to air tires and run air tools off of a bottle.
Recordkeeping is important as is air testing and monitoring for what goes in the tanks.
Probably more than you wanted to know.
