Downwardspiral - 12/17/2023 20:38 I don’t know what UTV you are looking at, but add up all the accessories you would want like front and rear windshields, doors and a heater. Then look at what model comes equipped in that fashion. Sometimes all of the pieces are more costly than ordering a higher trim level of machine. We went with a Can Am Defender limited after pricing everything out. Also it was considered than all of those extras are covered by a factory warranty.

I spent a lot of hours doing exactly this.   Was going to buy a basic machine, put hard doors on it, and put in an Inferno heater- would have done ALL of the installation work myself.  I could not get within 10% of the price of the Limited that's currently in my shed, and that doesn't include the fact that a 2023 Limited came with bigger stock tires, more suspension lift, etc.

I just wanted to be warm, I didn't care in the least bit about air conditioning.  But guess what- when we don't have a rain for weeks and I meet a rock truck or feed truck or whatever other semi on dusty gravel roads, it sure is nice to not eat it.

The monies are stupid.   I'm almost embarrassed.  But if you want a UTV that you will actually USE, then it's worth it.   Got mine last week of March and it has over 4,000 miles.
