I like your setup there. A question on the gas powered auger. How do you engage the drive belts ? The ones I have seen have a cradle that the engine mounts on and a over center deal lowers that cradle and tightens the belt. Is yours that way or is there some sort of centrifugal clutch set up ? I would not think you have to start the engine with auger engaged ? Reason for asking is it possible to run auger at variable engine speeds without the belt slipping ? Can you just crack the door on the wagon and run auger very slowly or does it need to run full throttle. I'm thinking the variable speed aspect of a gas motor would be much preferable over the fixed speed of an electric motor if I wanted to use the auger for various purposes that require adjustable speed control. |
