Find a Lowe’s and get a box of the Lincoln brand E7018AC. A much better welding rod than a standard 7018, especially for an AC welder. Best rods I’ve found.


I'll give it a try. The old 7018 I used to use was very hard to start an arc. This Lagrange stuff weld like a 6013 but is supposed to have more strength, more like the 70xx"s.

Is Farmer's Choice still in business in Omaha?
