Reminds me of a joke from back in the 60's:

A hippy was on the street corner waving his hand continuously.

Old fellow comes buy and ask's the hippy what he's doing.

Hippy says he's scaring away elephants.

Old man says "Your crazy, there's not an elephant within 5000 miles from here"

Hippy says..." Man I'm doin a good job"
