Southeast Washington | We used to plow in the good old days with a JD plow. Seemed like in our soil anyway there was no such thing as plowing shallow. It needs to be in the ground running dirt up over the moldboard to help hold it in the ground. Otherwise it could be slightly in the ground one moment and then skidding across the top in the straw the next moment. You may be looking at a disk, high speed disk or a vertical tillage tool to help be consistent at a shallower depth. | |
