South Central Idaho
Our operation is different than most on here. We have lots of older retired folks that come drive for us in the harvest. Automatic trucks are nearly a must for them. We can make 10-15 loads a day and in one direction from the field to the dump could shift a 10 speed transmission upwards of 100 times. That is a killer for a guy that has had shoulder replacement or aches and pains because of age. They are great help, show up on time, treat things with respect and the only downfall they have is being physically limited because of age. So yes I would want them driving for me. Are there some that shouldn’t be driving so large equipment absolutely.
