We were one of the first ones in our area with electric tarps, everyone gave us hell for being lazy, uppity, whatever. Now more trailers have them than don't. Just get it and don't think twice. Yes there's some problems with wiring and motors and remotes and it's annoying when they happen but I remember all the issues we had with manual cranks with bungee cords breaking, cable returns acting up and probably no more issues with the power tarp then the hand crank. I remember battling pops for probably 5 yrs about getting electric tarps, he's a cheap ass and didn't think spending the money was needed, just had to wait until it was "his" idea to get electric tarps. We haul 6-10 loads every day year round, 4 times per load getting out to open and close tarp, probably over 5 minutes a load saved starts adding up, sometimes that's the difference between getting another load in or not.
