Electric tarp on semi, is there a backup plan? Has ANYONE regretting doing it?

The backup plan is usually an hour shot if not two. Corrosion is an enemy. It's quite possibly one of the more stupid things I see go wrong. Remotes won't sync. Keypads/pushbuttons on trailer go bad. Motors burn out. Someone should make a quick disconnect similar to a PTO shaft at this point. Unfortunately companies are still selling thousands of dollars of shifty products without thought of the mechanic or operator that has to use it day in and day out 300 plus days out of the year
