Subject: RE: Rogator vs Deere

Had a Patriot 3330 for 8 years. Very reliable machine for us. We were shopping and ended up with a used 1100c. Have put about 600h on it since. The machine itself has been very reliable. I have had some problems with the Hawkeye harness. But I was able to locate the shorts and fix it myself.

I have spent quite some time in a 4940 and a little bit of time in the early 4045 deeres.

Our 1100c is a great sprayer. The only thing that makes it seem a bit dated is the small cab. I did not want one because of that but this machine is nothing like a 1274 I also ran for a bit.

Suspension you will have to get used to. The Chassis kind of swims. They went to single wheel suspension on the new ones, which I think should be an improvement. Boom is ok but I don't like how fast it folds. The recirculation is a must. Would not have a sprayer without it.

The hydro on the Rogator is second to none. Very precise and a lot of power. The machine has a lot of traction. It is like running a fendt tractor. Sometimes I wish you could tap it to the right to activate cruise control.

I much prefer the return to centre hydro handle. I don't get shoulder pain from moving a handle back and forth. It also adapts the engine speed to power demand. Works really well. Saves a lot of fuel. I think it uses only 70% of the fuel vs the 3330. Which is impressive given it is a heavier machine. Also keeps it quieter in the cab. The 4045 I ran was definitely louder. 3330 still is the quietest we have had.

Except the harness issues the Raven Viper 4 works well. It also steers well, but I need a better correction signal. Been thinking of putting an agragps receiver on it, so I can use our rtk.
