| Depends a lot on the type of hay/grass and what do you call proccessed? Some feed nutritionists want it down to 5/8 in. That takes a little bit. About 3 to 5 minutes it should pretty much have the core gone. Dump some corn silage or grain to hold it down into the knives and it doesn’t take long at all to get 3” stuff.
Long orchard or Timothy grass is a different ball game. | |
