| We have a TH407c cat, 8000 ibs lift, 20 or 24ft reach, I forget. Four wheel steer, rear hitch, 26 mph road speed, heat and a/c. Super handy. Would not want less lift capacity because of using it to lift stuff with the boom extended. Use that reach a lot. Not saying a cat is good or better, just the options we currently have, it's a great fit. With the boom retracted in all the way, it can lift well beyond it's rated capacity. Ours had 5500 hours on it when we purchased it, it was well looked after. Probably the most important thing, buy one that has been well looked after.
