Our 11 year old daughter got her first deer tag this year. Our deer numbers are super low after disease 2 years ago so she never filled it but she had fun. Walked lots of miles and spent many hours sitting watching, seen a handful but nothing with a shot she was comfortably taking. There is always next year, she wasn't super disappointed so that's a plus, it's just part of hunting. I've eaten tag soup many a year
Very cool! Success is far sweater when you have to work for it. She'll have a far more rewarding experience once she does connect than a kid who's plopped down into a box blind with 30 deer to choose from in front of them. |
