SC Kansas
Went from a 750 to a 1990 about 7 years ago . Air seeder has a number of advantages over a box drill, easier to transport, blockage monitor on each row, ccs tank, ext. Yes they don’t like rain , even a heavy dew over a week or so will cause problems with crusting in the hopper, has to be stored indoors or cleaned out when finished. As far as planting in a light rain, I don’t think that would cause a problem, the air delivery system works very well . Wings are heavy enough to hold it in the ground, we farm in a desert, they just work. Your seed tender will work fine. Yes the row units under the hoppers are a pain but really not worse than a 750. Just fyi , the 1990 has three grease zerks per row, the N 530 uses bushings instead, no grease. Also changing meters on them is a 1000 times easier.
A 1800 or a 2600 work as a drill monitor with Greenstar basics as a stand alone monitor. Or if you run integrated tractors, it runs on the same screen through the iso connection.
