My grandpa and great grandpa were Duroc breeders for probably 50 years. I live in my great grandparents house and I found these upstairs. I was shocked at how many breeders there were for just one breed. Other than a few people raising show pigs I don’t know of anyone in my county feeding their own hogs anymore. The feeder pig business was huge in this area until the late 90s. A lot of good opportunity lost. Im the first in who knows how many generations to have never owned a pig that wasn’t in the freezer lol.
Do these bring back memories for anyone?
