Subject: RE: No-till rippers

Jeffersonville, OH
To all of you who accept the term No-Till ripper, believe me, I understand

BUT, Try sitting in my shoes where some customers that walk in hears what they WANT to hear, not what a salesman, service tech, or company rep ACTUALLY says, and you'll learn very quickly not to leave yourselves open for such problems. Just like the terms "Field Ready" which NEVER get used around here, because try as we might, we can't catch everything, and even new stuff breaks. Some customers have unrealistic expectations, and want the world for a few bucks. I don't know which type folks are until after a deal is made, so we have to be very upfront about any issues or concerns they may need to be aware of!

I have been around Landoll, Tye, Sunflower, Glencoe, Blue-Jet, Unverferth, and Kuhn-Krause rippers...we ran a Landoll for years on our farm along with selling them for 20+ years, and now we pull a Kuhn-Krause 4830. We sell Unverferth now, and their shanks leave thinks a lot better than the Krause we have at the farm, but that's what the Uncle bought.

I don't know of anyone pulling the CIH 2500's around here, but from the pictures above that probably does the best job at not disturbing the surface as anything I've seen. Our Krause isn't far from the 4412 Sunflower Disc ripper disc it replaced, it's pretty chunky!
