We have a 2500 and like to rip last year sod fields when it’s good and dry mid summer. We usually will take 2 more cuttings off the fields after ripping so they need to be flat when we are done.

I had a rigged up a flat roller and cover crop seeder on the back of our machine and it does a really nice job of mocking the lumps and stones back in so it’s smooth enough to mow afterward.
