Qulin, MO | The school district where I live is still 5 days a week but the rural one where I farm moved to 4 days a week a few years ago. There was a lot of angst about the switch before it was made but all the parents I have talked to recently seem to like it. They took Mondays off and with all the Monday holidays and teacher in service days that were already on Mondays it wasn’t that much more time that they had to add on to the other days of the week. Only about 30 minutes I think. The parents use Mondays to schedule doctors appointments and dentist appointments. | |
