Yep, about a $6 seal that you would use for a gearbox with oil. I don’t think the first seals and maybe current ones work well with coolant. They swell and tear which sticks the thermostat. Longest part of the job is draining and refilling the coolant.
Make sure you get all the bolts out of the housing before pulling/prying it off, a few bolts are hidden fairly well.
where did you get the gasket that seals the two pieces of housing together? or didnt you replace that gasket? Thanks, Glen |
