E ND | 20k would be pretty fast wear on a grocery getter minivan, unless she's drag racing the high school kids down the strip or putting it in a 4-wheel drift around every corner.
That being said I do think the MFG's are chasing both low-cost and any fuel mileage advantage they can get on OEM components, I do think (someone should look into this) that the same well known brand and model of tire that comes from the factory isn't the same part number you buy from a tire retailer. Shorter tread, softer rubber. | |
