Subject: RE: Grocery Getter Tire Wear

EC Kansas
Bought a new Escape in 2017, had Michelins so I thought we'd be good for years even though we have a few miles of gravel before we get to blacktop. Dealer rotated every oil change, by 25,000 miles they were shot. Put on a set of Hankook's from local tire shop, 40,000+ miles later they still had better tread that the originals but we had them replaced because rocks tend to start poking holes in them before the tread is completely shot and it's not fun to stop machinery to fix a flat for the wife. Especially if she's on a trip to KC to see the kids/ grandkids. No real rhyme or reason as to why one set of tires outlasts another anymore.
