If you paid him to haul it, I'd ask him if he's got any type of cargo insurance and tell him to use it. If it's an 8000 series door like I think it is, they are not cheap and getting hard to find, as there were not many built to begin with. If you didn't pay anything to have it hauled and he did it as a favor, you might have to eat it. He watched you strap the hood down and doors shut the first time, I would have expected he did the same bringing it home. Also I too would have strapped the hood panels and doors shut if it was my tractor, like you did, knowing what replacements cost.
It was far from a cheap do me a favor trucking job. Within 20% of someone with a drop deck. |
